Diced Beef Steak
from £10.50
Product Info
Hand diced by our own master butchers, our diced beef tastes nothing like the automated machine diced beef you can buy. As we trim by hand we cut away most of the surface fat from the muscle prior to dicing. Cut mostly from chuck steak taken from the shoulder muscle, when you buy diced beef steak from Great British Meat Co you are getting beef steak that is ideal in everyday cooking of stews, casseroles and one-pot style dishes, where the collagen breaks down to create some succulent, tender and full on flavoursome slow-cooked beef.
Cooking Tips
It is a good idea to brown the meat quickly over a high heat, before long slow cooking. This caramelises the natural surface sugars in the beef, which adds colour and flavour which is transferred to the liquid when slow cooking. You only need to give it a quick brown, sealing the meat, as it will cook through during the slow cooking.
