227g/8oz Cumberland Rings
A Cumberland Ring Sausage is a bonafide British classic, especially in the autumn when the nights roll-in and comfort food becomes the order of the day for most of us. Made using locally sourced pork, these are then seasoned using a traditional blend of spices which gives a lovely peppery kick of ground black pepper, with a delightful hint of sage coming through. At 227g/8oz these are a BIG sausage ring sold in lots of gastropubs that will fill up old and young alike, for either a cost effective midweek tea or hearty weekend breakfast.
There’s nothing particularly formal about a cumberland sausage ring, and for the ultimate easy comfort food (which this is), we’d advise you eat it on your sofa, but obviously we won’t tell anyone if you don’t!
Grill, fry or for for the easiest option in our opinion, you should oven roast at 180ºC for 30 mins, then serve with mashed potato and onion gravy
